It’s that time of year ago. NanoWriMo is coming up fast, faster than this year almost coming to an end. This week marks the middle of September. Before we know it, it will be October and then the true countdown beings.
Last years NanoWriMo was my fist time participating and it became one of the best things I ever did. It was during that time that I came up with and created Illusions of the Heart. One year later it has come to life, selling on Amazon right now. If you’d like to see what Illusions of the Heart is about you can click here.
With my second year coming up soon I already know what I am going to do and that is the sequel to Illusions of the Heart. The title pending, I feel this is the perfect opportunity to use these thirty days to get something together using the story that got me where I am today.
During the 30 days dedicated to writing a story, any story, I have learned to enjoy the time spent writing. It was interesting last year going to Starbucks, looking around to find a specific table that was close to an outlet then spending hours writing.
Considering that I am a planner instead of a pantser, I will take the time that I have left to consider the story, whether I want to go the same number of chapters as Illusions of the Heart, 30 chapters, or go longer then that. It was ironic that I did 30 chapters in 30 days. I might try to do two a day but that would be an incredible long book. I guess chapter length will very depending on the story.
Are you looking forward to NanoWriMo? Do you have plans already or will wing it as we get closer?
